Jessica Healy, LMHC (she/her) is a psychotherapist with a rich background in somatic and experiential techniques. Jessica’s approach is supportive, grounded in presence and attention towards somatic experience happening in the here-and-now.

Jessica has particular insight into the challenges facing creative individuals from her previous career as an actor. She works with many LGBTQ+ clients, members of 12 Step programs, and people recovering from emotional neglect.

Prior to receiving her M.A. in Mental Health Counseling from CUNY-Brooklyn College, Jessica graduated with a B.F.A. from New York University and worked professionally in New York City as an actor and vocalist for over 10 years. 

Jessica studied gestalt therapy, family constellations, and massage therapy during a yearlong program at the Esalen Institute, where gestalt therapy was developed by Fritz Perls. During her two years working at Brooklyn Somatic Therapy, she received training in The Hakomi Method, and has studied Internal Family Systems with the IFS Institute and IFSCA.

Jessica worked for four years doing research and is credited as an author on scientific literature at the intersection of the arts and mental health. Jessica has worked with diverse clientele in a wide array of settings, from crisis support hotlines to university counseling centers.
